Re: The death of K400

It’s K400, no matter what name you print on shrinking tube. I’d rather put some effort in making them look a little better: mesh weave helps
But that’s my opinion… no offense

lejonklou wrote: 2024-03-06 23:33 Was it speaker cables? If so, how long were they and how were they terminated?

Or was it the internal wiring of a power strip?

Re: Tony Tune-age System

IIRC, Fredrik mentioned this ranking: SS 1.7 > SK > SS 1.4 No I don’t have any Sagatun to compare with, so I’m unsure of those comparisons. But I do think Superkikkin is better than Giella Pi 1.2. Sagatun Mono’s are the best. I had the SK for 2 weeks while my SM were upgraded to 1.7 The SM 1.4 is m...

The superkikkin has never been better then the Sagatun Mono not 1.4 or 1.7.
It might be close to the stereo version, but the mono is still a different league

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

Alright, clip A was solid core and clip B was K400
What I have learned sofar:
Linn K400 ain’t good as internal wire for PDU
Solid core I used is better, but needs somewhat more emotion

Next tests:
Solid core OCC copper 2,5mm2 (Greyknight)
Stranded OCC copper 2,5mm2 (Elecaudio)

Re: Setting up loudspeakers for the best tune

Hi Erho,

I think the guide from Fredrik is spot on.
Methodic and use "tune" > is it better or worse? Each step again, eventually the music "snaps" and everything is super, it's easy to recognize
Don't rely on theory, just follow the steps

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

Interesting Sopper! As I’ve been through these same tests before, can I humbly suggest you test some cables that are in between these two? Because neither K400 nor single core have ever sounded any good in mains applications, in my experience. Offcourse, Fredrik And what cable/wire would that be?

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

I prefer Clip A. Is this analog vs digital where Clip A is analog? No… it’s internal wiring in a power distribution unit Same units, one wired with Solid core silverplated copper and the other with Linn K400 Interesting idea using K400* for power distribution... I like the feel of B/112, but it see...
