Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

@Charlie1. I tested with a Cardas set-up Record where there is a voice speaking first on the left and then on the right. The iPad probably records in Mono. Even when recording directly in-between the...

Definitely sounding much clearer now! I’m not referring to the musicality by the way, which is very good. I wonder if you are also recording in mono. It’s taken Apple much longer to roll out stereo th...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

Hard to tell as the recording sounds a bit muffled. Maybe your hand slightly obscured the mics or it was still in the case. Or perhaps try to position the phone a bit higher and nearer.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

Had another listen.

Think I might have been suckered in by the better sound/balance of the short sofa clip. Obviously, is not the same for you in the room.

Short sofa more engaging for me too. I slightly compromise my system for room aesthetics. It’s important to me to have a nice environment to listen in. I suspect you’d quickly get used to any improvem...

Re: LP12-50 Udate

My dealer has done a few and compared to their stock Klimax LP12 he said it's a lot better, but I don't know of any owners that have posted anywhere. Maybe buyers are less likely to frequent forums.

That’s all we want isn’t it, just to enjoy music. If only it were that simple - we each have to find our own way there. You’ve been on quite a journey esp the last few years of CD player tweaking. Jus...

Re: Katan Stands

Not really since you have CB Naim. I’d stick with Kans unless you need a slightly fuller sound in which case I’d go for 42 or 42.5 with a 110, using 322/4 mm cards and leave out any snaps or hicap. Wo...
