Why am I not allowed to send pm's (private messages)?

To prevent spam, the default setting is that new members are not allowed to send pm's. Receiving pm's is not restricted, only sending.

To have your pm functions enabled, please email a moderator or the administrator.

Are your pm's stuck in your Outbox?

If your pm function is activated, but the messages you send seem to get stuck in your Outbox, please note that this is how it should be!

Your message will remain in your Outbox until the recipient has read it. Then the message is automatically moved to your Sentbox.

I'm trying to delete some posts in the PM list. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

Strange!

I tested just now and it worked fine.
I mark the box after the message,
At the bottom of the page I select ‘Delete marked’,
I press ‘Go’,
I press ‘Yes’ to the question asked, and
The message was deleted.

Very strange indeed. The procedure is simple and yet the emails remain.
